A set of tasks in the performance of a function.

Design review
A milestone or periodic activity within a product development process whereby a design is evaluated against its requirements to verify the outcomes of previous activities and identify issues before committing to (and if need be reprioritizing) further work.
Continuous improvement
A recurring activity that enhances performance. Example activities include: statistical process control (SPC), Fishbone (Ishikawa) diagrams, designed experiments (DOE), etc.
Biomechanics
The study of the principles and relationships involved with muscular activity.
Affinity diagram
A management tool for organizing information (usually gathered during a brainstorming activity).
Alignment
Performance of the adjustments necessary to return an item to specified operation. The actions to ensure a process or activity supports the organization’s strategy, goals, and objectives.
