We finally had the honor of hosting the one and only Keenan, Author of GAP Selling and CEO of A Sales Growth Company, to chop it up about all manner of things around maintenance, selling better, better discovery calls, scaling white gove service, bradning, and more. We even have a rapid fire round. Hit us with a like, comment, and reshare this with your thoughts!!
Thank you, Keenan, for joining us for an amazing and insightful conversation. Zero punches pulled. Real as real gets. It’s all about helping!! We’ve been fans of Keenan for years and suggest paying close attention to what he is really saying, what he is really all about. Stop pitching products. Nobody cares about your features. Dianna Deeney interviews Keven Wang from UnitX. Keven shared valuable insights about how AI-powered quality control is revolutionizing factories worldwide, beyond inspection. With over 160 customers benefiting from this technology, Wang’s expertise offers a glimpse into both the present capabilities and future potential of AI in manufacturing.
This interview is part of our series, “A Chat with Cross Functional Experts”. Our focus is speaking with people that are typically part of a cross-functional team within engineering projects.
Keven Wang is the Co-Founder & CEO of UnitX, a leading AI Robotics company automating visual inspection in factories. Keven graduated from Stanford University with a degree in Computer Science concentrating on AI. He has visited 135+ manufactures worldwide helping to improve yield and quality, and holds patents in AI
technology for visual inspection.
Perhaps most surprising is Kevin’s observation that the greatest challenge in AI adoption isn’t technical but human—aligning teams, establishing shared goals, and helping personnel become comfortable with the technology. This insight underscores that successful implementation requires thoughtful change management alongside technical expertise.

Dianna and Greg discuss your employability in the AI age. So, let’s run a hypothetical. You’re a 22 year old mechanical engineer. You do robotic quality and reliability with a knowledge half-life of 4 years. That means by the time you’re 26 knowledge in your domain has doubled. Let’s say, you’re now 30. Knowledge in your domain has quadruped. Problem: you have not updated your knowledge skills and abilities. Are you still employable.

It’s finally ready – The CMMSradio Panel Discussion on The Evolution of CMMS we recorded at The Reliable Plant and Machinery Lubrication Conference & Exhibit in Chicago IL on June 3, 2024!
Thank you Noria for an EPIC event. This was year two for us and we cannot wait for RP2025. Same place (outstanding venue).
A big shout out to UpKeep for being a part of this. In fact, your own Bryan Bieschke, CMRP (Head of Community & Partnerships at UpKeep) was on the panel. We also had the rest of the heavy-hitters like Joe Anderson COO of ReliabilityX, Jeff Shiver of People & Processes, Inc, and Noria President Bennett Fitch helping us tie this all together with his insights on lubrication & oil analysis (and beyond). We heard great feedback about this panel throughout the remainder of the conference. Thank you to those in attendance.
This episode (panel) is loaded with insights as we took a unique approach to The Evolution of CMMS. We made it about the people, the process, the culture. Technology evolution is excellent but we too must evolve and adapt to leverage these technologies in the most impactful and practical ways.
Get ready for a great discussion and there are some questions and answers (Q&A) at the end. Do not drop off before the very end. Thank you to our esteemed panelists. You knocked it out of the park!! We are honored to have hosted/moderated this panel.
Thank you Matthew Knuth of SPM Instrument (UpKeep Ambassador) and Rich Wurzbach of Grease Thief (UpKeep Ambassador) for supporting and getting into the discussion. We’ve got some content dropping soon from your booths at RP2024.
