DTK David Groebel Engineer

David Groebel, Director of Software Development, ReliaSoft

Celine Geiger, a guest host, interviews David Groebel concerning David’s work at ReliaSoft bringing software products to market.

[Note: This is a bonus episode recorded at RAMS 2016 in Tucson, AZ. Celine and David started talking, and agreed to be recorded for the Dare to Know podcast.]

David Groebel serves as the Director of Software Development at ReliaSoft Corporation. Since 1997, he has been integral in the development of ReliaSoft’s software products.

In his previous role as the Director QA & Support, he was instrumental in formalizing the customer support and software quality assurance procedures at ReliaSoft.

He has conducted seminars across different industries including Aerospace, Defense, Automotive, and Medical.

In addition, he has been the project lead for ReliaSoft’s RGA software since 2003. His areas of interest include life data analysis, accelerated life testing, system reliability, reliability growth analysis and software quality assurance.

Mr. Groebel holds a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Arizona. He is a Senior Member of ASQ and a Certified Reliability Professional (CRP).

About Tim Rodgers

I'm a director-level global operations manager experienced in leading hardware engineering and new product development teams, project & program management (PMP certification), quality engineering (Six Sigma Black Belt), and international manufacturing and supply chain management for consumer electronics and industrial markets.

I graduated from the University of California (Santa Cruz) with a Ph.D. in chemistry, and later received an MBA from the University of Oregon. I've been employed by large aerospace and consumer electronics companies, and spent two years in China while working for the world's largest contract manufacturer. I'm currently teaching supply chain management and operations management at the University of Colorado (Boulder) and Colorado State University.
