David Oberhettinger – Chief Knowledge Officer, JPL
Tim Rodgers interviews David Oberhettinger, CKO JPL, concerning David’s work and approach to his role as Chief Knowledge Officer at the NASA/Caltech Jet Propulsion Laboratory.
David is the Chief Knowledge Officer (CKO) of the NASA/Caltech Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL), which is the primary NASA field center for deep space exploration.
His additional duties at the JPL Office of the Chief Engineer include managing the JPL Engineering Standards Office and the JPL Spaceflight Engineering Research Program and chairing the JPL Lessons Learned Committee.
Formerly, he managed the Spacecraft Engineering Technology Department of Northrop Grumman and he served as a reliability engineer at NASA Ames Research Center.
David presently serves as a director on the Board of Directors for the 2016 Reliability & Maintainability Symposium (http://www.rams.org).
He served as the General Chair of the 2014 RAMS®
